Imperial County's Transition to VCA
Imperial County began the process to transition into the Voter’s Choice Act in time for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election. To guide this transition, an Election Administration Plan (EAP) was developed in consultation with the Elections Working Group, the Language Accessibility Advisory Committee (LAAC) and the Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC).

On October 28, 2025, the California Secretary of State issued approval of the Imperial County EAP.
